Geocells and supporting Geotextiles provide a simple but highly, effective solution for erosion control slopes up to 1:1 (45 degree). They enable rapid construction and often reduce the need for more complex and costly methods of construction.

Simple installation.

When laid across a slope, GEOGRID-3D cellular confinement system effectively forms a blanket of 3D cells. After securing in place with fixing pins, a variety of infill materials can be contained in the cells depending on the demands of the slope. From topsoil, aggregates, gravel and sand on less exposed slopes to larger stones and concrete on more exposed slopes. The result of which is an increased resistance to the erosive effects of wind and surface run-off on steep or unstable slopes.

Further protection can be provided through the vegetation of the slope and Geogrid-3D Geocells enable growth on previously unsuitable slopes by providing a stable growing environment. Each cell retains topsoil on steep slopes encouraging growth. The rigid cell walls provide an effective means of disrupting surface run-off too. This allows planting to establish and provides long lasting protection for the slope surface. A range of pre-seeded Geotextiles are available for speedy germination.

Made from High Density Polyethelene (HDPE), Geogrid-3D cell walls are perforated creating permeable walls which allow water to drain through the system supporting vegetative growth. These Geocells will contour to undulating ground geography and are flexible enough to be formed around trees and other obstacles.
